Successful HR'kofi Event: Data Protection in HR Departments

Last week, we once again came together at the HR'kofi event to discuss an important topic – data protection in HR departments. This time, we were guided through key challenges and legal aspects by Grega Vozel, a lawyer and DPO for external clients at Mikrocop.

Working in HR is already demanding – managing people, handling various challenges, and ensuring legal compliance are part of daily operations. When we add data protection, which is abundant in HR records, navigating all responsibilities becomes even more complex.

During the event, we focused on questions such as: what personal data employers can collect, what data can be published and shared, how work tools should be used in relation to personal data, and what the rules for video surveillance are. Grega Vozel provided us with clear guidelines, while we also had the opportunity to share our own experiences and challenges in this area.

Udeleženci so skozi praktične primere izvedeli nekaj novega o možnih HR pristopih za boljše sodelovanje, povezovanje in motivacijo zaposlenih.

Since the meeting was designed to be interactive and we discussed real-life cases, the two hours passed too quickly. We still have many questions to address. Therefore, we agreed with the participants to organize a follow-up online session, where we will complete the discussion and finalize our understanding of data processing in HR departments.

A big thank you to all participants for the excellent discussion – see you at the follow-up session!
