The award for the best SME HR TEAM OF THE YEAR goes to Mikrocop

Mikrocop's HR team received the "HR team of 2023"  award in the category of small and medium-sized companies, awarded by the Slovenian HR Association and Planet GV at the #loveHRSummit - Slovenian HR Congress.

Out HR team was recognized a successful team that stands out for the digitization of personnel documents and processes, as well as a high level of business analytics and personnel indicators. What does this mean?

In 2020, we fully digitalized personnel folders and documentation of students, scholarship holders and trainees. We also digitalized documentation for occupational health and safety and other personnel documentation related to workers' insurance, training, employee satisfaction, etc. This enabled the Hr team to focus on  main activities and spending less time on document search and management.

We digitized most HR processes years ago (overtime, vacations, applications for corrections of working hours, payroll, confirmation and publication of regulations), and we also successfully transferred them to InDoc EDGE. We have recently upgraded all of this with a job posting process (retrieving job applications and reviewing and screening candidates), and we are also introducing an onboarding process. Our next step is the digital signing of personnel documents.

BI business analytics helps us in cost management and planning in a very detailed and efficient manner (thanks to our colleague Zvonimir Malnar). From planning the number of employees to detailed planning of all personnel-related costs.

We have also established a detailed BI business analytics of personnel indicators for all employees, regardless of the basis of employment. This is unique, adapted to our needs and extremely helpful in the personnel department.

Every year, we also monitor personnel metrics, which serve as the basis for BSC (Business score card) indicators, where we monitor the number of training hours per employee and per quarter, the level of employee satisfaction and the proportion of effective hours of employees based on all hours (employee availability).

In its 45-year history, Mikrocop has gone through two major transitions: the first from the so-called garage company to a serious medium-sized company and from the era of physical archiver to a provider of solutions and services in the cloud. All of the above is a really great achievement in the light of both transformations, which, according to the committee, had a strong influence on the fact that we received the award.

We try to invest as much as possible in development of employees' competences through internal training (including Vem veš) and mentoring, as well as professional training and conferences. In Mikrocop the investment in employee education is above everage, compared to other medium-sized companies, thus we are also the recipient of the award TOP investor in education 2022.

We also place great emphasis on well-being of employees. With this in mind, colleague Katja Koritnik is dedicated to employer branding as Chief happiness officer and makes sure that employees socialize and meet in a relaxed atmosphere with different activities as often as possible. With quarterly meetings, we try to inform all colleagues about activities in Mikrocop and address their questions on a regular basis. We also enabled our employees to be included in Specialisti insurance, which turned out to be extremely useful.
